Homógrafos
con acento sobre sílabas diferentes
Se llaman homógrafos
aquellos vocablos que aun siendo escritos en el mismo modo, son pronunciados de
manera distinta.
Podemos
clasificarlos en dos grupos:
-
Aquellos
en los cuales el acento recae sobre la última sílaba (esta lista)
-
y
aquellos en los cuales el acento recae sobre sílabas diferentes (vea Homógrafos
con acento sobre sílabas diferentes)
Si
bien se trata de un número de palabras limitado, a veces difíciles de
encontrar y como siempre, el contexto nos ayuda a reconocer el significado, la
diferencia de pronunciación puede provocar cierta ambigüedad o algún
resultado involuntario de efecto cómico,
en el caso de extranjeros que no conocen los distintos matices de significado.
La pronunciación
indicada aquí, es la estándar. Se debe recordar que la pronunciación abierta
o cerrada de la “e” y de la “o” varia de región a región.

Recuerde que uno
de los casos más comunes de similitud es aquel que se da entre la forma de la
segunda persona del imperativo y aquella del participio pasado.
